The School strives to open doors to opportunity and paths to possibility for its graduates. Telling in measure of that effort is the School’s success in helping its graduates to and through college and onto lives of genuine and generous success.
Challenging in that effort are the harsh realities.

The reality – among young Americans whose parents did not graduate from college only 5 percent will graduate from college themselves.

The reality – evidence strongly indicates that students from lower income backgrounds will have far better life outcomes if able to attend colleges that are selective and well resourced. The School’s success has provided comfort in the face of those and other harsh realities.

In success – 93% of Waterside graduates (Class of 2008 - 2013) are currently attending or have earned admission to selective colleges and universities.
