100% of proceeds from Run for Waterside support need-based scholarships and honor the loving memory of Jeffrey Hammond Long. Waterside provides outstanding educational opportunities for students from Junior Kindergarten through 5th grade, with 100% of students receiving financial aid.

Waterside is proud to carry forward Jeff’s lifelong motto, “It’s cool to be nice,” teaching our community the importance of kindness. Since 2018, Run for Waterside has raised more than $2 million in Jeff’s memory, helping ensure that Waterside students have access to the opportunities they deserve.
