Waterside parents had the pleasure of gathering at the School for the annual Spring Potluck Dinner and Dance on May 11. This year’s theme was “Saturday Night Fever,” and our parents made the most of the evening! In addition to sharing delicious dishes with one another, the night included a raffle filled with exclusive prizes, time to break down on the dance floor, and a photobooth to remember the memories made at this year’s potluck.

Huge thanks to the parents who contributed to making the night special and to everyone who attended. Swipe for some of our favorite photo booth takes!

Throughout May, the School will spotlight our grad

Throughout May, the School will spotlight our graduating students in celebration of their achievements as Waterside leaders.

Today, we’d like you to meet Liam, Yaretzi, Chris, Eduardo, and Sophia R.! These fifth graders have accomplished so much during their time at Waterside, including sharing their passions such as art, dancing, sports, and music with their peers. We know they will continue to make the most out of new opportunities at their secondary schools, and remain closely connected with us as they become Waterside alumni.

We wish them all the best at @mastersschool, @shgreenwich, @nccountryschool, @brunswickschool, and @holychildrye! Congratulations!

Making Waves: An Evening at Waterside is an opport

Making Waves: An Evening at Waterside is an opportunity to support the work of Waterside and learn more about our amazing School. The event will take place on June 1 from 6-9 pm. Tickets are $100 and can be purchased with the link in bio.

Chaired by Kristina Kendall (Waterside '11, Greenwich Academy '19, Trinity College '23), attendees will have the opportunity to take a tour of Waterside, bid on some amazing artwork created by our students, and send notes to our graduating fifth graders. We will also have wonderful food, reminiscent of Waterside's International Festival, and drinks. The evening will end with a performance by Jadon ‘09 and Jordan ‘09 Washington's band.

Happy Waterside Wednesday! 💙 Spring is in full

Happy Waterside Wednesday! 💙

Spring is in full swing at Waterside, and our students have been enjoying the beautiful weather by getting out of the building for field trips. Yesterday, our JK students traveled to Sacred Heart University to see “The Amazing Adventures of Peter Rabbit.” This was our youngest learners’ first field trip and it was great for them to see a play full of singing and dancing as they prepare for their big performance of “A Day on the Farm” on May 31!

Our third and first graders had the opportunity to visit the New Canaan Nature Center to interact with animals. The third-grade class has been studying ecological diversity––they’ve been examining the characteristics of biomes, how they affect plant and animal life, and animal adaptation. Our first graders have been learning how animals defend themselves. By visiting the @newcanaannaturecenter, our students were able to complement their most recent findings in science class as well as instill a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
