From traditional dances to sharing culture through food, this year’s International Festival was truly the place to be on Saturday. Swipe to see the pictures of our joyful celebration of the School’s diversity at “Destination: Waterside!”

Thank you to all the parents who assisted with the presentations, all the family members who contributed dishes for the Food Festival, our International Festival Coordinators, and our teachers and staff who worked so hard to put this event together.

Tomorrow is the International Festival! The day wi

Tomorrow is the International Festival! The day will begin with our traditional Parade of Countries, featuring 38 nations that make up Waterside’s student body.

Following the Parade, each grade level will share a piece of their class’ culture through dance. This year, we’ll see dances and hear songs from Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico. The fourth and fifth graders will close out the Festival by sharing West African culture through dance and drumming. The day will conclude with a feast made up of foods provided by our community members. It’s sure to be a joyful celebration of the diversity of Waterside!

Last week, the Class of 2024 and four members from the Class of 2025 shared where they will be matriculating after graduating from Waterside this spring. Here are a few moments captured in celebration of their hard work and efforts at this year’s Reveal Day.

For more than a decade, 100% of Waterside graduates have been admitted to top independent schools. We are proud that this year’s graduating students will be enrolling at @brunswickschool (2), @ehsgreenwich (2), @greensfarmsacademy, @gwichacademy (2), @gcdstigers (2), @kingschoolct (2), @mastersschool, @themeadschool, @nccountryschool, @shgreenwich (2), @holychildrye, and @stlukesct (2).

Our third graders were given the task to gather recycled materials to create self-portraits. Students have been using recycled materials to build beautiful artwork since we were founded in 2001.
