Waterside School hosted the annual Run for Waterside 5K on October 15, 2022. This event is held in loving memory of former Associate Board member Jeffrey Hammond Long, whose words are woven into the virtues of Waterside: “It’s cool to be nice.”

All were welcome to walk, run, or jog around Stamford’s Harbor Point neighborhood and enjoy Waterside’s spirit. We had a record number of over 1,100 participants at the Run on Saturday, and over $260,000 raised thanks to the effort of the Waterside community, the generosity of our donors and sponsors, and all who participated in the 5K! All proceeds from the Run go towards the Jeffrey Hammond Long Scholarship Fund, which provides for the School and current students.

The Run is a unique opportunity for our students, families, alumni, donors, sponsors, teams from local independent schools, board members, and Stamford residents to come together as a community to celebrate Waterside School.
